@onewing Thanks Babs, there are quite a few so far but more of a scattering across the length of the bridge rather than a deluge at the moment, apparently lovers throw the key into the river as a symbol of their love.
@kwind Thank you for stopping by my page again, appreciate the comments. I just looked that bridge up in Paris, unbelievable how many locks are on it !! I read there are two bridges in Paris with such locks but there is a difference between the two, one is for your committed love and the other is for your lover, the second one is packed out with locks apparently whilst the first still has plenty of room...interesting !
@tillycarter Thanks Krista, I like the idea of this gesture too, apparently it is now taking off at a number of bridges and locations around London. Would like to see the photo you took in Paris, would be interested on your unique take on this subject. I think that's one of the two bridges I mentioned in my post above.
Unfortunately, my photo wont see the light of day on here, as it's not quite "365 project-worthy" lol! You're right about the bridge, it was definitely the lovers bridge because it was loaded with locks and swarming with younger couples, funny that.
When my son got married in April they had the same thing done at the venue were they got married. A bridge overlooking a river with these locks of love. Priceless
Great framing and focus
There have been a few places here that all the locks have been removed ...where as the tree swallow as them over and they live for .....
