This sculpture by George Segal is called Rush Hour. It stands in the financial district of London and represents the daily almost ghost like grind of the city commuter.
At night time passing by it can feel a little spooky as these shadow like figures stand in a large public square.
This was actually taken in sunlight today but I wanted to give it an almost nighttime feel in the processing.
I like sculptures and this one is very good, conveys that daily trudge! The way you have caught them, they look like ghosts, ethereal, the spirits of those who were there but are no more. Fav.
This shot captures exactly what you wrote. I can really relate even though I don't have to commute very far to work each day. There are days that I feel exactly like this. Good eye in spotting this.
Brilliant sculpture Ian. Well captured. The tall chap in the centre looks like a cross between Prince Charles and Prince Philip or maybe it is just me who thinks that. I can imagine that it would look a bit spooky at night. You have certainly given it a nighttime feel. Great processing.
I definitely thought Prince Charles too. Perhaps as an American he thought it would add a touch of interest! Very effective dof and processing here Ian.
Great shot and love the sculptures. My husband definitely agrees that it is a true representation of what the City feels like. A daily grinds that turns you into a ghost of yourself day after day!

Wow I love this and the treatment you have given it. A fav for sure. What tube station is it near as I would love to see when I next visit London? It's a great representation of that daily commute.
