i have the letter S planned since a week ago when i saw the public bench on my way to the subway station. this morning on my way to shoot the bench, i walked around the neighbourhood and the nearby park first taking in the beautiful sunshine albeit cold temperature. about five houses away from the bench, this tree shaped like an S snuck up on me. so now i have two S's. must take a picture of the S tree in the spring and summer.
Both are GREAT! Love that branch "S." You've got the eye for this challenge . . no problem. By the way, which letter did you find the most challenge with so far? I've thought about trying this . . and looking around, I see that a G would be a little difficult and maybe the Q. Just wondering what you thought.
@karenann - R was the most difficult to find. at the other end is O which is the easiest. you can spot and make out a lot of letters in the bare branches of the trees. buildings also have shapes and lines that if you look at certain angles you can make out the shapes of letters. i learned to be mindful of the ordinary things, even the wires or the cord of the laptop, however it got moved or pushed. the Q actually turned up quite easy. if you get really desperate you can always rotate your pictures like i did with my B but that was in the beginning. you can get your kid(s) join in on the fun as it helps when there's another set of eyes that has a different perspective on things. go do it, you'll enjoy it i'm pretty sure. thank you, karenann.
There is a butterfly alphabet book and poster where he finds all the letters plus 0-9 on butterfly wings and some extras so sone shots in the poster are different from in the book. This reminds me of that
@roth - the warped imagination helps, too. thank you, sue.
