saw this on the way out of the city this morning when it was still cloudy and cold. this would have been nice with the clear sky but too lazy to go back when we came home in the early evening so this would have to do for today. i just love magnolia trees. i have to crop the photo severely to get this close up, this is about 25%. must go back there one morning this week when it's all a-bloom.
thank you, folks, for viewing and commenting. will return the favour tomorrow.
@jjmarble - thank you, jj. around here, some are in full bloom while two blocks away, one is just starting to bud, and yet another block farther a tree has buds all over and ready to bloom.
@karenann - well, let us be the judge of that! :-) show us your magnolia, come on, karenann. thank you.
@cscecil - that is true, CS. around here, some are in full bloom while two blocks away, one is just starting to bud, and yet another block farther a tree has buds all over and ready to bloom. thank you, CS.
@danig - i love them, too. would you believe it, when i came here and saw them for the first time, it was always from far away. i've always planned to go up close but i never did until only two years ago. and didn't take photos until last year. they flowers are just gorgeous! thank you, DG.
@losthorizon - you think so? still i'm going to try and catch it under blue skies, hopefully soon, before they all fall off their branches. thank you, beau.
@inertie - i find myself doing the same thing. before i always tell myself, there's tomorrow, until i'd have missed all the blooms. but these days, i'm always on the lookout for them. thank you.
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i've found two more within walking distance of my building and they're in different stages so i think i could still catch some beautiful photos by the weekend. only problem is it's supposed to be raining as from tomorrow :-(
@catsmeowb - thank you, camille. glad you like it.
@karenann - well, let us be the judge of that! :-) show us your magnolia, come on, karenann. thank you.
@roth - yes, i did, down woodbine avenue. found several in different stages, which is quite amazing. thank you, sue.
