so what do i know about low light photography? nada! is it when you turn all of the lights in the room then shoot a photo?
tonight, i passed by this planter outside a body sugaring salon (what do they do when they "sugar" your body and what happens to your body afterwards, do you turn into like a candy? ooops, sorry, we're veering away from the subject hehehe!). i don't know if we can use flash, but i hate the effect of flash for shots like this. so, manual setting it had to be, then i cranked the ISO (my camera's max is 1600) and i shot a few. this is my choice of some twenty frames i took. i tweaked the exposure just a tad bit (brightness to 5) in my canon software program or whatever you call that thing. then i went to ipiccy for my favourite mirror frame effect. i like it. do you?
what attracted me to this planter was the curtain behind the window which they draw at night so nobody can look in. the curtain has those big polka dots that are individually illuminated and really makes for a pretty picture, especially when it is really dark.
I LIKE!! Really beautiful ... you didn't lose the magic of the night. That's what is so great. And the polka dots on the curtain look like bokeh. How great is that!! So beautiful, my friend. :)
i was just laughing so hard malcolm told me to breathe. the sugar is supposed to be good for our skin - so says holly, who works at a salon that does herbal body wraps. don't know that they do sugar ones as they are not 'herbal'. sugar exfoliates, herbs release water? she says after a wrap a person can leave pounds lighter but it does not last long. beautiful, beautiful photo. for not being sure of what you were doing, you really achieved fantastic results.
Well, I don't really see the mirror frame )o: but the polka dot curtains are cool! Alia and I are cooking up a week by week challenge for May. I'll probably post it tomorrow.
