belle of the ball - flamboyant

something i wanted to share with you, my friends.

i saw the gown on the lower right on display at the swarovski flagship store in uptown toronto. curiousity got the better of me and i went in and checked it out. i asked the salesgirl, a young petite slender brunette, if she had ever tried it on and she replied "no". i pinched the gown at the waist just to have a feel of it and it was friggin' heavy.
"there's another one in silver over on the main display," the salesgirl told me. i went to check it out. godawful beautiful.
"who wears this?"
rich people, we both said at the same time.
"$30,000" she said.
"too bad," i said, "my credit card limit is only $25,000!" we both laughed.
"can i just take a photograph then?"
"sure!"
these gowns can only be worn by a really thin woman. any small bump in the body and it would show or render the expensive gown plain ugly.

just outside on the sidewalk, a homeless man slept on the pavement.

Love the story! Great shot and I wish I could wear one of these. Of course I would have to lose a lot of weight and find a rich man to buy it. I guess I will just have a glass of wine instead.

hahahaha to the description of the dress and interaction with the sales girl. Not so hahaha about the fellow on the street- but life is full of contradictions like that.

Now that would buy allot of new wheels for my mtnbike

@jsw0109 - thank you, jeff. much appreciated.

@olivetreeann - hah! i could've taken a picture of the homeless person for another entry. however, i know it sounds funny to most people, but i don't want to invade his 'privacy'. he may be down and out it doesn't mean it should be flaunted, right? plus i didn't have any cash on me to give him should he have agreed to me taking his photo, because i'd have to ask for permission and it's but right to give him something, especially if he asks to get paid. thank you, ann.

@steeler - just the wheels? heck, you probably could buy a high end complete bike with that amount, with a new dSLR camera as accessory! :-) thank you, howard.
