i've had this perfume for more than ten years and it sits invariably on the window sill of my bedroom or the radiator just below the window. i love the simplicity of the cylindrical shape of the bottle, with a non-descript gold-toned cap and a single rhinestone on top. pure and simple elegance. too bad, i don't wear perfume as my sinus can't tolerate such strong scents.
as you might have already guessed, the shape i've chosen is cylindre or cylindrical.
"a cylinder is a closed solid that has two parallel (usually circular) bases connected by a curved surface. a cylinder is very common in everyday life, such as a soup can. if you take it apart you find it has two ends, called bases, that are usually circular. the bases are always congruent and parallel to each other. if you were to 'unroll' the cylinder you would find that the side is actually a rectangle when flattened out." - mathopenref.com
@henrir - i know, what was i thinking, eh? thank you, henri.
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i intended to showcase my few thimble collections for the same shape day, but because everything i planned for this month went into the cutting floor. ruing it, should've stuck at least to the thimbles. oh well!

@alia_801 - wow, thank you, alia. that's a very nice compliment, but as you know, they do hire an expensive advertising and marketing company.
@raineyday - thank you, rainey. i just turned it to black and white then did a selective colouring on the gold cap. the original shot is posted here: http://one-photograph-a-day.blogspot.ca/
