'glamourous' ralph lauren

i've had this perfume for more than ten years and it sits invariably on the window sill of my bedroom or the radiator just below the window. i love the simplicity of the cylindrical shape of the bottle, with a non-descript gold-toned cap and a single rhinestone on top. pure and simple elegance. too bad, i don't wear perfume as my sinus can't tolerate such strong scents.

as you might have already guessed, the shape i've chosen is cylindre or cylindrical.

"a cylinder is a closed solid that has two parallel (usually circular) bases connected by a curved surface. a cylinder is very common in everyday life, such as a soup can. if you take it apart you find it has two ends, called bases, that are usually circular. the bases are always congruent and parallel to each other. if you were to 'unroll' the cylinder you would find that the side is actually a rectangle when flattened out." - mathopenref.com

want to amuse yourself? go to this link and play with the cylindre shape: http://www.mathopenref.com/cylinder.html
or here: http://www.mathopenref.com/cylinderarea.html

it takes so little to amuse me.

thank you for your views and comments; know that i appreciate them so much.
Beautiful bottle. I am anxious to see your pictures on this. Such a challenging shape.

This reminds me of the contemporary art wing in Boston- sleek, elegant and artistic. Love the black background and lighting. Excellent shot Vikki!

@alia_801 - wow, thank you, alia. that's a very nice compliment, but as you know, they do hire an expensive advertising and marketing company.
