today, grandmere summerfield told me that this is the last tuesday in september. i feel sad that i will be going away again without seeing my best friend darren. but grandmere said we have to get on with our lives, she with grandpa and i with my schooling.
grandmere asked me what i wanted to do on my last day with her and i couldn't think of anything. grandpa said i should go to bed early so i would feel alert while travelling. but when i knew that grandpa had gone to sleep, i snuck out of my bedroom and found grandmere at the sink. grandmere said she's trying to capture a photo of a water crown. i asked if i can play in the water while she's taking pictures. she said yes.
grandmere took a lot of photos. but each time she would shake her head. so i told her i would look out for when the water is about to drop and i would let her know so. oh, we had four beautiful water crowns in a row. four in a row! grandmere inspected her photos and when she smiled, i knew playtime was over.
the good thing was that grandmere made me choose what she would post for tonight. wow! there were about eight water crowns and a lot of droplets. there was even one that dropped on my face and it was funny! there were also what looked like flowers but i know grandmere really liked the water crown so i chose this one because there were a few little droplets with it. i like this very much. i hope you like it, too!
well, i'm off to bed. i will see you all again, i'm pretty sure. oh, and by the way, grandmere said when i come back in january, i will have my own 365 album. isn't that exciting?
@tanja_1211 - thank you, tanja. it's not what i wanted, but it'll do for now, i was actually aiming for something like your july 1st water crown. one day i'll try this again. and as you can see, i did quite a bit of cheating: i used the toy to make sure i got the right focus. :-)
Awwww! Wahoo you are so helpful and adorable. I can't wait until you come back in January! Your grandmere's lovely pics of you always make me smile :) This is a beautiful water crown as well.
@sarajeal - thank you, sara. sure you can do it. just probably put something where the water drops and focus on it then when you're ready to shoot just remove it. i had to include the toy in for my same subject challenge which turned out to be ideal. i'll share the procedures i used later on.
@summerfield Fantastic, would be great to know the process hun. And don't worry about commenting on everything, we have to give ourselves time to actually do some photography too! lol :)
@sarajeal - no, it's just busy at the office right now and i'm just getting a few minutes break so i'm goofing off. hehe! but this is the video i watched before doing this water crown and the smoke shots. this gavin guy gives very simple but good instructions. here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwExpFDUC9Y
@henrir - thank you, henri.
@salza - thank you, sally.

@steeler - haha! thank you, howard.
@catsmeowb - thank you, camille. i so have to prepare for this if i would have to do that.
@claireuk - thank you, claire.
@sarasdadandmom - thank you, terry.
