partner's car wouldn't start so after the CAA came, tapped and poke those connections and wires under the hood, the car started. we drove to the next city up north to partner's car mechanic. encountered a number of road closures so we drove the long way and discovered a small lake with kayakers practising their skills; we plan to go back to this lake one of these days. saw a few churches, old and new, and spectacular murals. the car was finished three hours later. by this time i, too, was tiredly shot. we encountered the same road closures so partner took to the side roads. passed by a small airport and i was allowed to linger so i could catch a plane taking off. back on the road again, the sun getting lower and we passed a tree-lined street, mostly the leaves were still green.
then partner stepped on the brakes, turned left and parked. reason? he saw this. would have been just an ordinary backyard with trees and plants. but with the afternoon sun shining on it, the leaves seemed to shine and sparkle. so forget about the plane, the kayakers on the lake, the beautiful murals and churches we passed and photographed. this ordinary scene became an extraordinary sight to behold and is apt for today's challenge words. enjoy! (sooc except for the name tag and framing.)
"such an ordinary day becomes adventure
such sweet adventure i never knew
and life will be rainbows as i learn
the secret of the miracles that love can do
from moment to moment with you."
thank you, my friends, for your visits and comments; much, much appreciated.
Very pretty. When Jeff and I were driving home from church we were amazed at how the sun was coming through the colorful trees. We felt like we were driving through golden honey. The whole world seemed awash in this yellowy-orange light. Beautiful!
