it's 'activities' on tuesdays for december holiday challenge
we all know one or two or more people who start their gift shopping by january when everything is on sale for almost cheap. wise are those people who do that. for the rest of us, the shops open early as soon as the 'ber' months start, and when december comes, they close late. some have midnight sales. and what about 'boxing day' sale? and for those who wait at the last minute and are brave enough to charge at that last minute crowd shoppers, well, my hat's off to you!
then there are the online shoppers. browse, click, and presto!
@salza - mine, too! i get dizzy when i go to big department stores and there are a lot of people. if i ever have to go, i know what i'm looking for and just go there straight and i try to go in the early morning opening hours. otherwise, i just go across the street to my friend the florist and get flowers, as appropriate. flowers are as good as any other gift. thank you, sally.
Great shopping picture. I love your border. I sort of like to do both kinds of shopping. But I do find the browse, click and presto is getting better and better.
This shot says come on inside - I love the framing.
I am usually a last minute shopper. I don't like shopping. I have 12 grandchildren plus my 3 daughters, husband & mom. Plus all those birthdays my husbands birthday is December 27th, My daughter is December 26 and my grandson is also December 27th. Plus there are actually a couple more in December as well. And yet, I wait, I procrastinate and then I panic. EXCEPT - this year my daughters took me shopping to one of those namebrand/designer outlet malls. We stayed in a hotel and had 2 days of shopping. Most of the grandchildren are done but I still have daughters/son in laws, my mom, birthdays and 2 of the grandchildren. I think i will keep with the Christmas tradition to wait until the end - what are the holidays without the stress???
wonderful capture - i love to shop but find grumpy and pushy people can really spoil a day. i have tried to shop early but then can't wait to give what i get so that does not work for me - so i have a few things but wait until the late, late, late to finish - and to decorate, too.
Christmas would be great if not for the insanity that prevails...........in shopping!! Can't deal with the mobs and frantic energy -- so I try to make all my gifts.....and only go to the store if absolutely necessary....but your photo captures this season of shopping well!
I'm an all over kind of shopper. Sometimes I see something in the summer and know it'd be perfect for my sister or someone and I'll get it. Sometimes I know specifically what I want to get someone and I buy it on-line. Sometimes I take advantage of a good sale just before Christmas. The only thing I don't do is shop the sales in January. First of all, I've just spent all my Christmas money on the current season, so I have none left. Secondly, people's tastes and needs change over the course of a year, so I'm afraid to commit to a present for them that far in advance! lol Hope you had fun shopping here!
