i see this bridge whenever we drive westward on the highway. it spans the width of the humber river, one of the major rivers in toronto, at the mouth of lake ontario. i'd have wanted to shoot it facing the setting sun, but i would have to be on a boat to be able to do that.
this afternoon i noticed, through the foliage as we drove by, that there was a small pond just east of it so we made a detour, parked the car and walked the pathway to it. as i had guessed, i could take a reflection shot of the bridge so here it is. the bridge is white but the reflection of the setting sun gave it this hue. there was another spectacular colourful sunset today.
This is really pretty- the reflection is perfect. lol I didn't think hamster wheel like Claire, but it did remind me of a roller coaster at first (although I knew it was a bridge). You captured the gold tones from the setting sun really well too. Good eye to spot a way to accomplish your goal in a different way! And who knows, maybe you'll be able to the sunset from a boat shot in the future.
Oh I really must go back....but not so early. A 3.30 am start for me to get to Brampton and then back down to Toronto is a little too much :) I love this shot. It's totally a FAV!!
It is beautiful like the setting sun colours
