the water of st. clair/bluewater river takes on a different shade of blue depending on the weather. there's a special lustre to the water due to the clouds, the strength of sunlight, the gust of wind.
found this boat moored to the private pier by the river. this was a stretch of the highway where we figured that when the lands were expropriated to build the highways, the owners retained their part of the riverside hence the private piers. the houses varied in sizes denoting the status (financially and socially) of each of the owners.
