this flower, i don't know what it's called, looks like fireworks, doesn't it? can anyone ID it?

I think it's a Pincushion Protea. I will look up the scientific name, not at my computer at present. Hopefully can also provide a link to more info.

Yup it is a flower of the flowering variety! (Not a green finger in sight on my stubby fingers) Nice firework though:0)

I don't know what it is, but it's a lovely flower, so nice and bright. Reminds me of a coral plant!

Beautiful shot. Definitely a Pincushion Protea "Leucospermum" More info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leucospermum . I have them growing in my garden.
