and for our penultimate cocktail this week, i present to you....ta-daaah! piña colada!
i tell you, partner was looking at me like i have three heads and two toes as i was cracking ice, filling the shaker glass with it, with two ounces of pineapple juice, an ounce of cream of coconut and an ounce and a half of white rhum; shaking it vigorously and pouring it into the glass, decorating it with speared pineapple ring and maraschino cherries. and actually drinking the thing, even before i could shoot it. well, the alcohol at least blotted out the taste of the darn coconut. and, get this, he knows i don't like cherries, but these cherries, i can devour without shame!
maybe i should retire in the islands, have a little hut on the beach serving cocktails. yes, that's an idea! and you people when you come and visit to take photos, i promise the cocktails are on the house. deal?
three weeks and a few days and the islands would be a reality. for now, i have to walk on ice.
Hi I'm your get pushed partner for this busy Christmas week, eeek. I've looked at your link of past get pushed challenges and notice from your profile that you are an old hand at 365. So what will be my challenge for this week? I'm going to use a challenge which I set @riverlandphotos and @kali66 recently which, I think, they both really enjoyed it. The challenge is to take a photo with a red balloon as part of the picture. You can choose how to do it - full colour, selective colour or maybe a composite. Enjoy :)
I think I would really enjoy this drink, I love pineapple and coconut and rum!! I love the blue background, it makes me think of sitting by the pool sipping a cocktail!
