anxiously waiting

the magnolia tree at the park south of my apartment building is all ready for spring - just as soon as the deathly cold temps leave along with the snow and ice. we had a blizzard last night and tonight the temperature's expected to be -22 degrees. should be fun tomorrow morning: it will be slip sliding trip to the subway station!

I hope the snow and ice don't damage the bud- but it looks like it's got a wool coat on, so I guess it's ok!
