25¢

one of our more recent issue of the 25-cent coin, it features laura secord, "a Canadian heroine of the War of 1812. She is known for having walked 20 miles (32 km) out of American-occupied territory in 1813 to warn British forces of an impending American attack. Her contribution to the war was little known during her lifetime, but since her death she has been frequently honoured in Canada."

i have a slew of these 25-cent coins lurking in my drawers. every time i see a shiny coin with a new design i collect them. i have been trying to complete my 50-state american quarters but so far i only have 30. i don't want to buy them, i want to 'find' them. i was once told that the collectibles are those that aren't touched or never used. to me the joy of collecting is finding them.

what am i going to do with them? nothing. i just want them. if at all, my family will just spend them if i've become old and senile or i've gone six feet underground.

etsooi'd to death, that's what i did with this one, but i retained the size as in no cropping.
I like the effect- very shiny! I collected the state coins too- I think I'm one or two shy of the whole country.
