that is the challenge i received from april milani @aprilmilani for this week's get pushed challenge.
i did not have a chance to round up either of my young girls in the mailroom as either they're busy or i'm busier. so you get another self-portrait. i'm getting too old for these self-portraits, i tell you.
went to bed last night quite late but partner hauled my arse once again to go to the pond and feed his swans. they're no longer "my" swans, they're now "his" swans.
my living room faces east so at eight in the morning, the whole room is flooded in sunlight and i like it especially with the jagged stripe shadows from the blinds. i had intended to take a selfie utilizing those shadows but we came back and i only got the tail end of the shadows. you can still see a little bit on my blouse and a bit of sunshine on my face.
thank goodness for hats and other props! this is almost sooc because i removed something on the wall that was distracting. on second thought i should've just left it there to distract. i didn't bother tinkering with that face anymore, it's just plain hopeless! :-P
Aww bless ya! Selfies when one gets to a certain age are not easy. I always think in my head that I look like I did 20 years, and then the photo tells a different story. I think you are looking great here, very stylish and elegant.
Super selfie and it's a face that has seen some life! much more interesting than young portraits, except for the very young who have face which hide little ;o)
I like the natural lighting - it isn't what would be used for portrait lighting but provides a natural look! The light in your one eye (good thing we know you have two) is a sweet glint - if glints can be called sweet! I appreciate this picture!
