for the one night stand's challenge theme today which is black and white.
when you click on the tag for ons9, you're bound to see a photograph that is 'similar' in concept, but instead of necklaces, sally @salza used mugs. i had originally thought of doing exactly the same thing but since she's done a brilliant job with hers, i'm wont to use some other props.
i don't quite know how to manipulate the colours of the 'white' necklace as when i shot it in colour, the camera reads it with a yellow-brownish coloration or very light beige. (heavens, someone just told me a beige joke the other day! hahaha!) the necklace in fact is almost white, similar to the background. however, when i shot it in black and white, the necklace did turn out more white. i know i can manipulate the colours if i process it raw in photoshop but i had a long day today so it would be an assignment for one of those snowy cold nights in the coming days and weeks
I really like this one. I like that the white string is not pure white. I do like the crop of the b&w capture but I much prefer how to necklaces are portrayed in this one! You certainly got this one spot on.
