the black and white ball

there is a big fundraiser called "the black and white ball" where old money and the nouveau riche come to play and display their wealth by the size of their donations. most come to be noticed, especially the women who are mostly ornamental, whether willingly or not.

for the five plus two's "ornamental" theme this week. the mask is of the dollar store genre, for a full dollar with the tax. so is the cigarette holder; gak! i don't even know how to hold a cigarette holder. the dress is what i will be wearing to our firm Christmas party (i refuse to call it holiday party!) next week.

Something about that mask that looks like it was recycled from a bra. I just realized I don't know how to hold a cigarette holder either, or where I misplaced my invitation to the Black and White Ball.

You WERE, no doubt about it, the Belle of the Ball at you company's Christmas Party! And if I read your message correctly, I was very aware that 98% of the retailers were actually saying Merry Christmas this year! At last I think they've got the message! (Though perhaps too late as I think most people were buying on Amazon!)
