tried to do some shots for that HDR segment of the 52-week challenge. i really tried but no dice. it's harder than difficult, and i am admitting defeat. there are really some shit that i cannot do with this photography thing.
however, in other news, i have a probable sale of my signature shot. the flower shop has called to say a customer came in and was looking for the photo with the boat and CN tower. i will deliver it this afternoon. it's similar to this: https://365project.org/summerfield/365/2012-11-22
for the black and white challenge and for the new six-word story challenge.
Yeah... HDR is something of a mystery to me too... and really, I can't think when I'd be particularly inclined to want to use it, so no real reason for me to keep working on it... but it's a nice feather shot... and congrats on the sale!
there is something to be said about the loveliness of this image... and something more to be said about how drop dead gorgeous you look in that profile picture :-) I have been away for a bit and I must say time is doing you well my friend :-)
@photohoot - do you know that just this morning, i was going through some old posts and i thought of i'd mosey on down to your album? great minds, hey! welcome back! you have been missed, for sure!
Beautiful low-key photo with fantastic detail and clarity! Why do you need to try something if you get such great photos without using HDR? And congratulations on the sale
A nice shot of the feather (except for the white edge on the right, seem when viewed on black). Most HDR I've seen has been in color. I admire you for trying something different. Do you have HDR on your camera, or do you process it? Congratulations on your sale.
Congrats on your sale - always such a boost to have that acknowledgement of your abilities.
Love this shot - and, like kathy @randystreat found that white line (where I assume you cropped or straightened) annoying when I viewed on black.
I haven't done my HDR yet - will attempt this week and let you know how I do.
@randystreat - thank you, kathy. although this is not an HDR image. but now that you said it, my nikon 5300 has an HDR function. now why didn't i think of that!
@bkbinthecity - thank you, brian. hi, mel!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond - thank you, my lady.
@northy - methinks i will leave that technique with the others who are more inclined to do it. thanks, kiddo and hope you are enjoying chicago!
@pandorasecho - thank you, my friend.
@salza - methinks it's best for landscape but i just sold a landscape that's not HDR so i don't think i ever need to learn it. thanks, my friend.
@taffy - thank you, miss taffy. much appreciated.
@k1w1 - at least the feather's detached from its owner; that would be difficult to shoot. thank you, my friend.
@photohoot - thanks!

@domenicododaro - thanks, my friend. much appreciated.
@farmreporter - thank you, wendy. whenever i crop in photoshop it always gives me that white strip. i don't know why that happens.
