it was some rude awakening this morning for me. it was raining yesterday then when i went to bed i saw that there was a heavy fog in the area. this morning i woke up a little bit early to prepare for church and i thought i'd check what the weather is like outside. when i saw this, i thought i had overslept -- missed spring, the summer, my birthday, my holiday, Christmas and new year. i had to run to the bathroom to check if i'd grown any beard. but seeing i am in toronto and not in the catskill mountains in new york, i realize mother nature was just playing an early april fool's day. well, you know, mother nature is now in advance menopause and is probably developing dementia.
by the time the church service was finished, the pretty vista had disappeared, and while the ground cleared in the afternoon, there were still remnants of the snow on tree branches.
i remember a victoria day weekend (this is the weekend before your memorial day weekend in the states) about 12 or 13 years ago when temps were in the minus, sleet and snow and fierce winds and just generally miserable.
Goodness me, just goes to show one should always keep a sharp eye on MN in case she springs a big surprise. Love the shot though, really brings out a lot of detail.
We had the same rude awakening here. I am getting SOOO SICK of this dang durn winter, it's not funny!
So sorry about not getting an entry into the tag challenge. I have been training a new driver and have just completely run out of time.
There are some neat entries into it - it will make for a good vote, I'm sure!
