well, it's not exactly the sea but a lake, lake huron, in fact. this is at mike weir park in bright grove, ontario, about 281 kilometres southwest of toronto.
partner is obsessed with sunset so he made an 'executive decision' for us to go by lake huron to capture a nice one. he got his sunset but i took so many shots i'm getting cross-eyed trying to review all that i've taken. however, this morning, we found this park, named after mike weir, a canadian golfer who was a native of bright grove and whose claim to fame was a green jacket from the masters golf tournament so many years ago. the park was huge but had this narrow stretch of 'public' beach. it's all you see and a little bit more to the left. this was the 'perfect' place for yesterday's sunset, a day late obviously, but he has plans for us to come back here in the fall and chase the sun once again. there is a legitimate reason to come back here, as a few kilometres north of here in a town called bayfield (methinks that's the name), the local camera club has a 'photo walk tour' and i have registered to join.
once again, director james cameron wanted me to "stand here, take shot from here" etc. etc. so after all the directions and instructions, i told him to leave me alone with my (non-existent) creativeness, and while he's doing that, why not sit on that log and keep it company. he did, then i shot him. with my camera, of course!
i'm behind once again but will try to catch up tomorrow. thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are all greatly appreciated.
Love your composition of nicely organised layers with the figure there to provide interest! Don't tell him that, though! The lake is so flat and the colours are so muted on the water, its beautiful! He could have raked the sand a bit better!
Hi, I see we are partnered for get-pushed. My internet access at present is at work or the library, and it was busy at work today, so haven't had time to look through your album, but will do so tomorrow a.m. and figure out a challenge for you. I look forward to whatever you come up with for me.
