what a way to spend your lunch hour! this guy is just so comfortable napping on a bench at the cathedral park. while taking this shot, i was thinking of the story of rip van winkle, about the man who slept underneath a tree in the forest to escape from his wife's nagging. (for a summary of this Washington Irving classic go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rip_Van_Winkle )
after yesterday's shot of some lavish degree, it's but right we give equal attention to those of us who are less lavish.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are truly appreciated.
wish me luck, as tomorrow evening is the "audition" for my photos at the sports bar. i have shots of a baseball, some baseball and lacrosse players, and old rusty trucks and bicycles. if they buy at least two, i'd be happy, if they don't, tee-hee!
An amazing story when one re reads it! A bit like the tales they tell now about going back or forward in time! I don't remember the nagging wife but there she is, Dame Rip! I would imagine this is hot here and he wants to be in the shade - its a beautiful scene!
There's a story here, which is what gives the image its impact. A quick power nap in one's lunch break or a way of killing a few miserable hours in a miserable life? We don't know and that's what makes it intriguing. Good luck with the "audition", I'm sure you'll do well.
this looks a little awkward for him..is his head first under the divider bar and inside his gym bag? Are you sure he was alive, but then he must be cause who would take the time to arrange a body just so....(oh the things I think of sometimes scares me)...good luck with your audition I am sure you will come away a winner =)
Sending huge good luck wishes for Thursday
