fall colours by summerfield

fall colours

it's late in the day and the rain hasn't completely stopped. we went to the pond to see the swans and they were happily going about their preening, although occasionally the father swan would chase the ducks. we fed them some boston lettuce and they were quite happy methinks.

this is from one of the trees around the park. some of the trees couldn't seem to decide if they're changing colours but i'm pretty sure after this weekend's rains, the landscape will be rife of the fall's colours.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are much appreciated.
wonderful colors.. :-)

What a lovely way to show the rainy weather as well as the fall colors! I just spent a weekend in the mountains, surrounded by fall colors as well.

We're get pushed partners this week, and I am very intimidated by the fact that you have done SO MANY and you have such a range of photography in your albums that I can hardly think of something new! But I will spend a bit of time in your album later today (but I have company arriving from out of the country and it's my birthday) so it may be late at night by the time I get to spend enough time in your album to post a challenge. But I will! :)

I love the pinks, such a subtle colour; the pink green combo is divine, well spotted

I've enjoyed perusing all of your albums, going back a few years! You have such an incredible range and so many different challenges! What I didn't see (except Bert and Ernie one) is one of toys. But unlike the Bert and Ernie one in which you have a funny narrative to accompany the image, I'd like you to place your toys in a way that the image tells the story.

I think it's my current Danbo-envy I have that may be propelling this challenge. I typed in "Danbo" under photos, and there were so many! Some are of Danbo being cute. But others "tell a story" visually.

You might have dolls, toy figures, cars, etc. but any kind of toys that can be assembled into a still life of sorts, that tell a story visually, is what I think of as the challenge. What do you think?

@jyokota -now, that is a challenge. growing up we didn't have many toys and I hated dolls (there's something about them that's annoying and spooky). but it so happened that the grandsons' toy box is still here so i'll go through it and see what I can come up with. that is to say, challenge accelted. thank you.

@jyokota - hi, sorry, i've been quite busy with all sorts of things. my partner's going through some stuff and is being so needy so i haven't gotten around to shooting toys. i have photo shoots three nights this week so my response to your challenge will be very very late. but i will get to it, i promise. thank you.
