goodness! partner was in the mood today. no, not that way, silly geese. he's in the mood to take me to see the sunrise! he woke me up at six and hauled me to the west end despite the temperatures being in the minus teens. to get to this exact place, though, i almost had to kill him because he chose to park at the wrong place so i had to walk far over slippery snowed over ice to get near the water. by the time i got here, my fingers were aching from the cold and i was only appeased by this beauty. the water was thick with ice it wasn't moving at all. the waves underneath only managed to make the surface pulsate and it was rather eerie. but something worse happened after i took this.
Oh my gosh! Battery died. Boo hoo! This is great though! Your weather is in minus teens/ Do you get lots of snow up there? Your partner is so nice to get you up and go on a photo shoot that early.
Gorgeous sunrise! Definitely worth an early start (.... and a dead battery.... and frozen fingers). Love it, superb colours and you can almost feel the cold.
One of these days I must try and get up early enough to watch the sunrise! This is a beautiful photo, glad you managed to get this one before the battery died!
Yeah, my weather challenges involve getting lapped by warm water at my feet....not quite the same...:-(( Even then I don't get up for sunrises, so I totally admire your determination!
I guess you got to enjoy the rest of the sunrise without taking pics of it?
