it rained last night and the first thing i did when i woke up was to go into the garden and walked barefoot on the grass. the dewdrops glistened in the warm morning sun and bathed the sole of my feet with a freshness most people take for granted. the scent of lilacs permeated the morning air and i took it all in. i danced to a tune in my head, i closed my eyes as i did.
