time travelling again. that's me on the left in 1982, i was about 29 years old. and then the old hag on the right is me, too! over-aged! :-D as you can see, the young me doesn't look amused. well, seeing how i ended up, i won't be either! but suck it up, kid, this is how you look in 32 years, whether you like it or not. tee-hee!
i was going to go for the 'retro' theme of five plus two, but murphy's law, i just gave away my two old 'annie hall' outfits that I've been hauling everywhere for years and years. on second thought, i didn't think those suckers would fit me anymore, probably as leggings, yes. so i looked at my photo album to see what my outfits were like back in the days. i had to laugh because i saw this old photo (it's actually a white blouse and a burgundy skirt with burgundy belt ensemble), and realized the outfit i wore to the office today is almost the same style. which means i've been going retro all this time.
but truth be told, i never really followed what's in fashion. i mean, i did and do, but i don't want the over-the-top mod fashion. i always infused what i wanted in the clothes i wore/wear. see, it still works today as it did 32 years ago. and that doesn't make me too sad.
at least these days, i don't anymore wear those thick shoulder pads, unlike my little friend up there.
what i miss is that beautiful antique chest i had in the foyer of my apartment. and look at that shiny floor! wish my floor now is as clean and shiny as that.
this is also for the artist challenge that had just started (in the style of mari mahr's photographs).
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i like what leslie @lesip wrote that style lasts a lifetime, that and a simple yet effective taste in clothing is all we need.
@tara11 - thank you, tara, you are so kind, my dear.
@redy4et - are you kidding me? i wouldn't want to be rearing that little so and so, she was ruthless at work and so fussy, everything just had to be so. hahahaha! thank you, elizabeth.
@maggiemae - i'm stunned, too! hahahaha! maggiemae, once again you made me laugh out so loud i might have waken the whole building when i read this last night. thank you, maggiemae.
@jannkc - i think at my age i have to have gained a lot more confidence. but believe me, during those times, i was an overconfident b****; course it helped that i knew what i was doing. thank you, jann. how are you?
@anazad511 - thank you, ana. just coincidence about the clothes.
@k1w1 - yeah, my friend. as i told maggiemae, i am always stunned! tee-hee!
@lesip - okay, i will go with that. :-) i wish i am more capable of better processing than this that i've crudely done in ribbet. mari mahr's style is taking photos and superimposing it with objects or other photos to create a 3d style (i think that's what was written in her website). thank you, leslie.
What a great idea !
Of course we change, it will be a lie to say the opposite, BUT you are still great, and it seems that you had 32 busy and happy years (i remember you wrote something about your studies once...).
And I don't know for you, but for me : I'm still 20 in my head !
