enchanted forest

not! it's just the big park south of my apartment building. i was going to hide behind those trees but there were some suspicious characters who decided to sit and watch me when they saw me with my camera and tripod. it is sad when you cannot trust anyone anymore and sadder still when you look at one person and decide they're suspicious characters. but there's been a lot of bad things going on around here so better safe than sorry.

sooooo, since there's an etsooi going on according to our friend bill and the theme is 'trees' i decided to play with this one since my other idea - of going on a slow boat to china - didn't pan out. and it made me realize i think i might have played etsooi only once or twice. so many challenges i get confused which one is going on.

i have no idea if we have to list down what i did with this sonofagun but i decreased the exposure a tad bit, upped the contrast a tad bit, saturated it a tad bit, boosted the colours to about 58 percent (you're right, just a tad bit), put all those lovely butterfly stickers, including the yellow ribbon in the far left tree, goofified the whole darn thing by swinging the cursor wherever it may have landed and i really really liked those little holes or eyes it made on the branches. i was going to include a bear and a papaya but they didn't really fit in the picture. :-D

thank you for your kind visits and comments; i do appreciate them a lot and i do feel guilty not being able to comment on all your posts but i think that i am actually making quite a headway.

i was going to match this with one of my fave classical tunes, but in wading through youtube, i came across the soussa marches and it just brought back memories of sunday mornings in our family home back in the old country. when these marches are heard by neighbours they know that my father was in a good mood. i used to not like these marches, but hearing them tonight, they're not so bad. in truth i'd listen to them than the "music" prevalent these days. and this is a classic march so i think the mad hatters would be proud!

What a whimsical image. Nicely done. Isn't it fun just to play sometimes?

So whimsical! I wanted to do the ETSOOI trees but I think it ends today. And I am still trying to find a program that will let me go through scads and scads of photos and edit them in a fast manner. Photo gallery that is downloaded from Microsoft is crashing all the time. The photo app that came on the laptop won't let me see pics and save pics on external drive..just ones that are in pictures file on the laptop itself. I am annoyed. And behind. Between work and the laptop issues....so behind. But I love your tree ETSOOI! So so so cute. I expect I'll see it in the finalists list.

This is so fun and creative Vikki. I love the butterflies, the holes in the tree
and especially the way you tore the space/time continuum.
