summer's gone
and no songbirds are singing
because you're gone
gone from my arms
gone from my lips
but still in my heart

i had nothing to do as the weather was like jekyll and hyde. one minute the sun was brightly shining but before the minute was over, it's as dark as night. the leaves in the trail have started changing colours. i was going to shoot them trees from that little bridge but the iron steps going down were so steep and i twisted my left knee the wrong way so while i know i could trek down, going back up would be a huge problem. so i just stalked the bikers passing on the bridge. i had wanted to get a reflection on the water but it was just too windy and the water was all ripply.
thank you for your kind visits and comments, as well as your generous favs on my past postings; you folks are incredibly awesome. know that i appreciate you a lot.
@amandal - will you quit it! fall starts tonight at 10:29 p.m. to be exact! :-)
i love seeing bridges and overhead foot paths with vertical bars and seeing cyclists and people walking, especially on a bright sunny day and all you see are the silhouttes. i like that. one day i'm going to get my own shot of that sort. oh, shooting star, i did it already, didn't i? but i'll have another one one of these days. thank you, kiddo.
lovely bridge! i hope your knee is mending... good thing you didn't come with me last night... i still can't believe i didn't twist my ankle climbing on the rocks!
@amandal Fall started last night, so there!
Nice capture of ripply water and bikes and bridge and the beginning of fall colors Vikki. Sorry for the lack of comments lately, silly people at work expect me to do stuff for them.
@summerfield I work in IT. My position changed a couple of months ago. I used to do a lot of hands on work, now my primary position is help desk, with other sit at my desk unfun things.
