the land that time forgot by summerfield

the land that time forgot

or view from the back of the horseshoe falls.

we drove over to niagara falls this morning to check out the outlet malls' specials. the stores are really hyping up for the black friday sales. there was not a lot of tourists or shoppers, which was expected, given that the weather was miserable and the temperatures unseasonably low. buffalo, new york got about a foot of snow sometime last week.

whereas this is the view across from the back of the falls - this is part of niagara falls, new york - the canadian side of the falls still has a number of trees that still bear leaves and the grass still green albeit soaking wet from the mist from the falls. surprisingly, the hanover tour boats are still in operation. the maid of the mist wasn't.

a full shot of the back view of the falls is in my other album. http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2014-11-16

Perfect title! Very surreal feel to this scene. So the US side is super cold and has snow and the Canada side doesn't? What is UP with that?

Rain, cold, mist in the air- why didn't you call me to meet you! Actually this looks really interesting. I know it would be way too cold, but I think I'd enjoy seeing them like this!
