fracking refraction by summerfield

fracking refraction

i have done this thing two years ago but i wasn't satisfied even with a re-do. so it hasn't been crossed off my bucket list. i am generally happy with this, except for the fracking bubbles. i tried everything - hot water, cold water, not-so-hot water and not-so-cold water; tepid water, slow flow water, mineral water and it's freaking the same thing. bubbles! bubbles! and more bubbles! it's making my water break!!!!

thank you kindly for your visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.

i apologize to jackie as i haven't clued in yet as to what i have to do for my push from her; and to warn anita that i might again be late for her push for me.
Bubbles? What bubbles? I love the joyous colours! Makes me think of beach umbrellas on the sand in the south of France! No, I can't say I ever saw ones that looked like that...but it makes me think of them!

@Weezilou - awww! you are always so good to me. but i see tiny bubbles, not in the wine, but in the water. they don't make me feel happy nor fine! but you did! :-)

Great effects.

Must try this, those pesky bubbles take some finding!!

I really like the effect. I am having extreme difficulty finding any bubbles. I must have a go at doing this. I think I tried it once but I don't think I used water in my glass, I think I left it empty. I shall have to troll through old ancient photos and see if I can find it!

I might be talking out of my ass, but could the bubbles not be bubbles, but little imperfections in the glass?
April 10th, 2015
Love the effect and the color. Think you did a great job.

@whimsicalgrateful - nope! glass is perfect! the bubbles are settled in the bottom of the glass. and there are also a few visible ones just before the water line. i left the glass on the counter overnight, then i whisked it to get rid of the bubbles. hopefully it will remain that way tonight when i get home then i would do a retake. thank you, marta.

Cool shot!

so strange, i clicked on the link for damn bubbles, and there's only one. What's up with that? This is still a great refraction shot my friend.

@summerfield Did you try rubbing them off with your finger? My husband came up with the idea and tried it out and it seemed to work. Also, here are a few more ideas http://www.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_get_rid_of_all_bubbles_in_clean_water

A fantastic shot bubbles and all.

Terrific refraction--I've never tried this kind of image and now, you've inspired me to try it! Looks great and is a fav!

No worries about get pushed, only just done yours.
April 11th, 2015
I've always wanted to do a shot like this! Great work! Love the lines.
April 11th, 2015
Impressive! I probably wouldn't have even noticed the bubbles!
April 12th, 2015
I like this! I do understand the part about being bothered by something that you cannot control, and is not supposed to be there, but this is still a wonderful refraction shot, and also something I have not tried yet. How did the retake turn out?

Very cool

Next time maybe use seltzer or ginger ale with bubbles on purpose and it'll go flat as a spatula! I think it's a good shot- bubbles and all!

Brilliant!!

Pretty fracking good, IMO. Tiny bubbles....make me feel fine. Great, now that stupid song is in my head. :-(

@stray_shooter - just change it to wooly-booly, why don't you? :-) thank you, ron.
