taken on sunday at the park in batavia, illinois when @bill_fe and i met up with @voiceprintz. the japanese garden had already closed when we arrived so we were shooting this little bridge from outside. the afternoon sun was playing hide and seek and one had to be quick on the shutter to capture the leaves that seemed to glow when the sun shone on them, like it did on these fern leaves.
taken with a nikon 105mm lens which @bill_fe kindly let me try. i fell in love with it and today i bought my own. lord! this hobby's so expensive.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
@summerfield One word or one paragraph? "No"...propped up in my rented bed with the computer on a tray... Let's say I do believe I'm progressing in the right direction...back is hurting less and I am managing the pain better. Foot's on the mend...will be happy to go for walks again! Thanks for asking...I'm getting there!
Such a tranquil scene. What a pity the gardens were closed. I am too scared to look at photographic equipment incase I get the urge to purchase something. I really need a new bag and am horrified at the prices but I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and hand over the cash notes!
Beautiful light, perfect composition, terrific image all the way around. Even more impressive is the verse to go with it so perfectly! Especially since it was written 27 years ago!
You back home now? LOVE this shot. Super pov and wonderful verdant greens. The bridge adds just the right touch, too. How sweet of Bill to get you addicted to a new lens. I've decided I need a macro lens.
@amandal - yes, since wednesday night, flew home from chicago. i love that macro lens. i think i will try to convince him that we exchange lenses, his old one for my new one. hee-hee! thanks, kiddo.
