it would be a big faux pas for me if there would be no photo on my wall of my beloved niagara falls.
a lot of people, the canadians, take this place for granted. some come here often, but not for the falls but for the casinos. most say "seeing it more than once loses its novelty". i beg to differ. or maybe it's just me, but one has to realize how powerful this natural creation is. i've seen this in all weather and seasons and i'm never going to be tired of coming here and admiring the falls.
that said, two weeks ago was the only time i went there without having taken a photo of the falls. still, we had a great view whilst having lunch with my cousin and her family. i carefully chose the restaurant where i was to treat them (with a closer view of the falls without doing a lot of damage to my wallet). it was foggy and raining like crap that sunday and we got so engrossed in catching up. i also got an invite from my cousin's inlaws to come to cape cod. so i was wondering if that is on the way to alabama? @grammyn so many places to go, so little time!

What an unusual vantage point Vikki! This is fabulous! I've been there only once and was absolutely astounded! Ever since, I enjoy coming across vintage photos in cast-off albums of the falls...in all sorts of weather!
I agree, the place never gets old. I spent many a day there, as my father grew up there and we always went to the "falls" when visiting the grandparents. Looks like you snuck over to the American side!
I have been once in my life and it was amazing! Everybody has a place that they could go to 1000 times and never get tired of it obviously this is your place! This is a beautiful photo of it too! I like the wide-angle view!

I would definitely agree- it is something you can see over and over again and never get tired of. Just watching the water go over the edge is mesmerizing! Beautiful capture! Is that from our recent get together?
How did I miss this shot. Very nice capture. Something I always wanted to do but didn' and now I probably can't. Don't wait to do the things you want to do. Do them Now!
Ummmm, no, Cape Cod is not anywhere near Alabama, but you should go anyway....it's a great place in the summertime!! The one and only time I was at Niagara Falls was in February.....I remember it as being very cold!!
