sewage treatment plant by summerfield

sewage treatment plant

the city's main sewage treatment plant, situated near the beaches. fortunately well away from the beaches proper.

the self-imposed challenge of "industrial" continues this week, so there won't be much of a colourful or sweetheart photos in this album.

industrial is defined as "anything having to do with the business of manufacturing products; but not utility, transportation, and financial companies."

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.

once again, i can say you folks are awesome. glad you liked my over the moon photo yesterday and sent it straight on to pp. much appreciated, folks.

It's a great looking building and I would never have guessed it's real purpose. :)

Based on the thumbnail view, I was expecting this building to be some stately structure on a tourist's 'must see' list. Perhaps not, but it made for a great photo!

Thanks for your comment shared on my Danbo jumping-on-the-bed shot.

Impressive construction for a treatment plant! I like the light sepia processing!

Fancy looking building. I guess they felt that they needed to glamorise it to disguise it's function.

It is unusual that is for sure. But I like it. Not your everyday sewerage plant. Nice find,

Awesome processing, love the yellow sky. The building does look too fancy for its purpose.

Nice!! It looks like a mausoleum, which I guess is pretty apt in this case!! I am assuming from the 60....love those parabolic curves....Gaudi would have been very impressed, too!
