hear the sledges with the bells-
silver bells!
what a world of merriment their melody foretells!
how they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,
in the icy air of night!
while the stars that oversprinkle
all the heavens, seem to twinkle
with a crystalline delight
keeping time, time, time,
in a sort of Runic rhyme,
to the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
from the bells, bells, bells, bells,
bells, bells, bells-
from the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.

i can't get myself motivated with the 'laundry' challenge so i will do the red theme this week. or at least until wednesday as i only have 3 red items worth photographing.
in my door knob hangs a set of Christmas bells which i bought from the dollar store many years ago. i never took it off as that used to warn me when the ex-man enters my apartment, and then i just got used to its sound every time the door closes or opens. today, one of the bells fell and thus served as a photo opportunity.
shot using the raynox macro filter attachment.
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated, especially for sending yet again my ornamental selfie to pp. i noted today that i have quite a few selfie photos that had made it to pp. i don't know if that is good or bad. but still, you're awesome, my favourite folks!
I like the angle on the ribbon...the focus is on the inside, as it should be with people.
