my bestie and i had lunch with her granddaughter at my favourite spot at the mall of asia. a bit crowded than usual as today is valentine's day. you get to see lots of women, young and old, holding flowers. on the radio the other morning, the police was said to be cracking down on flower vendors who were jacking up the prices of flowers leading up to today's hearts celebration. yes, this country might still be considered third world, but they are attuned to the ways of the western/first world.
took pics of people milling by the bay side. it amuses me no end that people here use umbrellas a lot. but this pair was away from all the others, boy shielding girl from the heat of the afternoon sun with his red umbrella. perfect for the flash of red which i intended to do on the 18th as i wanted something special for today but all plans got foiled by slow internet.
note: that water fountain is actually about a block away from where the subjects are. etsooi'd this to the max as the red umbrella was coming out pink and blue. :-P
thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.
countdown to going home starts today. 11 days more and i'll be facing the reality of month-end tasks at the office (plus packing and moving office floors) and my own moving to a new apartment and unpacking my own things.
I feel so bad for all the moving you must do when you return
