froze our butts off by the lake side at the bluff's to watch the waning moon rise. the trouble was i couldn't get a good focus on the darn moon. i don't know if it's the cheap tripod or the wind or the lens but all my moon shots were, well, shot! you see, i forgot that i should've brought with me the little canon that could take a decent moon pic. but one would think a decent dslr with long lens can do the job. meh! nosireeee! but it is always a treat for me to watch the moon peek out from the water's horizon, the anticipation building, its reddish colours tantalizing and its rise just plain magic.
in any case, one has to make the most of the situation. so what i did was to take a long exposure of the scenery, and although i didn't get any details on the moon, at least i got its reflection on the water. amazing what the camera can see as the sky was totally black apart from the moon rising.
