i think when i do win the lottery i would not look like this. something like this, however, is the best case scenario. the other probability is i'd fall dead from excitement, and then who's going to plunder the wealth? not i, that's for sure.
but i'm happy whenever i win anything. there was a time i won free tickets for a straight 15 draws. there was cash in between or with the winnings.
the first time i won big, my heart was shaking around my chest like there's no tomorrow. imagine if i had won the big time, my chest would have exploded, bra and all!
when i went to the lottery office (at the time, if the winning was more than $900, you would need to claim your prize from the lottery office. smaller than that you can claim at the race track or from the lottery kiosks), there was a lady (east asian type) behind me in line waiting for the lottery office to open. she was quite nervous, clutching her purse and looking around. we got talking and in the process i told her i work in a legal office and she mentioned she had won a quarter of a million dollars. she had wanted to consult a lawyer but didn't know of any. she said she didn't want her husband to know about the money and she wanted it stashed away for her children's and her mother's future, should anything happen to her. i gave her the phone number of a boutique law firm and told her to call my paralegal friend.
the lottery fairy actually has been kind to some of my friends. an acquaintance won ten million but continues to work. she was in a difficult position, her old friends didn't know how to deal with her and of course, she didn't know of any other rich people that she can hang around with. last i saw her she said she's down to eight million.
me, i have a list of people i will help out when i win the big time - those with young kids whom i can set up a college trust fund for, or hard up families with mortgage. of course, my grandchildren wouldn't have to worry about going to college or university. my family will be comfortable for the rest of their lives - if they don't screw up or don't piss me off. so you stay on my good side because when i hit the big time, you could be on my list!
so off i go to claim my prize tomorrow because i actually won.
You are too adorable! No lottery ticket could be as *priceless* as you! Money is, of course, nice if one is in financial straits, but it's friendship that's worth more than gold. Case Proven... If you win big, your family and friends can count on your friendship! With me, can you spare enough for a cup of coffee? xo!
Oh the excitement of wining even the smallest amount! It's been years since I played the lottery. I believe I would be giving away Godiva chocs if I won (and was close to a stockist)
