i'm high from all the smoke i inhaled tonight, certainly not good as i still have the remnants of vertigo from last night. i had to do it in the bathroom as doing it in the living room tickled the smoke alarm and i get agitated when that thing goes off.
how do you make smoke more appealing? etsooi the darn thing! processed first in photoshop, played with all the sliders available, to the right to the left and when i couldn't get any more satisfaction, i brought it to ribbet and played around with it some more. then i changed the colours so many times until i got to this colour. it looks like the smouldering of a love affair that fizzled and died an untimely death, that's what. i don't know where that came from, but it sounds nice, so there! and as you can guess, i flipped it to landscape orientation.

@catsmeowb - no, you just have to get the right settings like a fast shutter speed. use an incense stick, black background, a really bright lamp on one side; if you don't have an external flash, the camera's flash works just as well. will you try it?
