last weekend, there was a lady at the waterfront asking people if they feel blessed and why. (lesson 1, if you don't want to be interviewed randomly on the street, do not look the person in the eye, or smile.) the people ahead of me were rather brusque and brushed her off. but i smiled at her and guess what, she asked, rather nicely so i had to say something nice, too.
do you feel you have a good life?
my reply, more or less, to my recollection, was that yes, i've had a lot of blessings in my life - my parents, their wisdom no matter that they did not have much schooling; the education they strived to give me and the lesson that i can do more out of that scant education they were able to provide; my friends, my job. i live in Canada, one of the best countries in the world (cliché, i know), that even though i am not as moneyed as i would have wanted, that at least i continue to have a chance to be.
in love?
that one is under advisement. :-P
if i will weigh the good and the bad in my life, i would say for every failure, for every heartache, there has always been a lesson learned and a couple of successes to match each one. yes, my cup is filled with blessings.

thank you for your kind visits and comments, and for your very generous favs; they are greatly appreciated.
@maggiemae - sorry dahling! yes, you did comment on the coloured version of this photo which was posted on the five plus two album. didn't mean to confuse you. cheers!
@granagringa - this is the best time to make bokehs as little lights are everywhere, focus on the nearest object with the lights in the background. there's quite a few tutorials on youtube for bokeh photography. thanks!
you have a cup half full attitude girlfriend and I just love it. Following you the last 5 years I know a little of all you've endured. What a perfect photo to go with your writing.
