give her time by summerfield

give her time

this is for my get pushed challenge, set by @stephanies stephanie. she actually gave me 2 options. this option was to "photograph a watch or other gadget in the style of a glossy magazine advert [editing as much as you want]".

unless one is really creative and the brain just bursts with ideas, it would be difficult to be an advertising person. i mean, you have to be able to pull out ideas for your client's products in an instant. and that's one reason i am not or was not in that industry. it would take weeks before i can come up with a reasonably clever idea!

so this is one of my cheapo wrist watches that i bought last year to wear at our Christmas party. (it's still working so i was going to wear this today it being our Christmas party tonight. but i had to go to the doctor's after lunch and after waiting 3 hours, i was ordered to go home and get to bed.) the photo in the background is of my former model sophie la rue which was taken quite a few years ago. not a lot of edit as i shot the watch in high key, then overlaid the old photo faded to 85% then added texture which is my bed quilt faded to 98%. simple, non?

and if this would be an advertisement, i'd caption it just that: give her time. get it?

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated along with your most generous fav's on yesterday's gratitude photo.
@stephanies - here's my response to your challenge. thank you.

An exquisite image! Nothing new there with your creativity. What I want to know is why we wanted to go home from the doctors?!
