for the 52-week challenge's 'still life' challenge this week; the challenge is to get away from the cliché still life forms of fruits.
i just put this together, cost me $6 altogether, if only to reinforce to myself that i am no artist. as you can see i cannot even do an abstract! also if i were an artist, you wouldn't find my colours thrown just about anywhere anyhow.
my connection is intermittent. i couldn't stay long enough to make proper comments. will try to steal some time during lunch tomorrow or just before leaving work.
EVERY person has the capability to create art. Your art may not look like someone else's, but I tend to agree with Annie @annied that you need to open those jars and play some more! How about writing some script on the canvas and covering over some of it...
@Weezilou the kids at school always thought the art the Korean children did was the best - they would attend art classes and everything was very precise and perfect - I would tell the others that theirs were wonderful too - your art is full of emotion and expression and everyone is different
Different definitions of art, my dear...I do believe you are an artist of life and that with only seeing your photos and your commentary......and your photography ain't half bad either!
@annied I hear you loud and clear! The quote may not be exact, but Picasso basically said it can take a lifetime to learn to draw like a child again! As you said, Annie...as you said!
I think you aced the challenge with this! You also promoted some very interesting discussion. There are all kinds of artists. Some people are artists with words others are with paint others are with photography. I think you qualify in at least two of those areas!
Not every painting has to be a masterpiece, but for this, the creativity of tackling the challenge was more important than creating another Picasso. Good job!
