in the kitchens in each floor of the office, there installed on one wall, a red, floor-to-ceiling high panel that baffles, intrigues, inspires and perspires, almost everyone. i've always asked "why???"
then management decided to be really uptodate and modernize the facilities so they installed a large digital monitor that blinked all the activities and events of all office globally.
what i mean to say is, thank heavens there's the half and half challenge it was the first thing i thought of for this entry.
our office's national fitness challenge started today. just for today, i racked 14,069 steps. not much but i intend to lose at least some pounds and perhaps trim down my flabs!
14000 steps is good in a day. Interesting initiative to have in the workplace and a great way to take care of your health. Nice find for the half and half challenge.
Nice find for the half and half challenge! I managed almost 10,000 steps today and thought that I was doing good ...I am quite impressed with 14,000 steps!

thank you, ladies. i hope to find better and interesting half and half shots in my walks. i just logged in my steps on the website and i see that i am #7, having added up my dancing and shopping of 40 minutes to bring my total to 16,000+ steps. that's no good, gotta get ahead of everyone!
@grammyn - well, with everyone having put in their stats for yesterday, i dropped down to spot #20 even with a bonus of an extra 2,000 steps. no, i have to make the least at least for one week so gotta work harder, as long as vertigo, which is threatening in the background, doesn't do its assault on me. no, not that competitive. :-D thank you, girlfriend!
Perfect for the half and half! I'm fitbit obsessed and use it to track calories in vs calories burned. I try to aim for a 500 cal a day deficit and have lost 4 kg, but has taken me 2 1/2 months. 14,000 steps, that is pretty good going!!
@jackie8 - methinks i shall get me a fitbit even though it costs an arm and a leg. the cheapest i can find is $200 but I'm thinking of if i add another 400 i can get a cheap macro lens. :-D
shame that our work seems to focus more on the eating biscuits challenge and I'm beginning to show the expected shape as a consequence. My little fitbit keeps me stepping though. Liking the funky walls and the NO
