gingham cupcake cases by summerfield

gingham cupcake cases

some of the little treasures uncovered in yesterday's foray in the spare room with the boxes. i bought these cupcake thingies a long time ago with the intention of sending it to my sister in the old country. she bakes cakes for weddings as a side job and i'm sure these will be of good use to her.

for the second week of the 52-week challenge. the theme this week is composition: colour harmony.

i think the colours are complimentary and harmonious enough, n'est-ce pas?
I agree .....

The red and yellow-green look good together... not sure if the other fully harmonious with them .... but what do I know about colour? I'm so glad there are no cakes in them... I can get a sugar rush just by looking at cakes!

Very photogenic - especially the way you present them.

I tried to make your colours fit into the Adobe colour wheel, but didn't quite get there. They nearly classify as matching colours in the compound colour collection. I remember spending hours with a graphic designer trying to come up with complimentary colours for a logo design and associated publication. He was very patiently trying to teach me the principles. Anyway, here is a great place to play and have fun with colour design - https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel/
As for my own view, I think they all look wonderful together and your sister should be delighted to receive them as and when you get round to passing them on ..
