you can appreciate how far this building is from where i live - i had to use the 300mm and this was the closest i could get.
buildings are the best subject for patterns if you're a city dweller. i had thought i should get licentious (no, not that licentious, the other one!) and do a third color selective shot as the middle of this building has red bricks and there was one unit with red curtains. but seeing that this will be on the very edge of the calendar, i thought i'd forgo the idea. however, if you look closely, there's a lady on the balcony staring out at the sunset perhaps that i couldn't see from my unit. can you see her?
i think we're doing free style for the rest of the month, non?
a ton of thanks, my friends, for your fabulous favs on little blue; know i appreciate them all.

might i entice you to join in and play tag for the tag challenge #150 that's going on right now.
Wow! Do you wonder if the people feel they've lost their individual identity? That said, one has to appreciate that it's a big city with (likely) big rents and I'm sure they feel quite settled and at home.
@Weezilou - i think not, at least with rental buildings and that is evident with the colours and types of curtains and blinds you see from the outside. i think it's more the condo owners who would probably feel that way because most condo-managements have restrictions on what one can and cannot have on their windows and balconies, or even their front doors. thanks, my lady.
I hadn't thought of it like that, but I've heard people talk of such things and it wouldn't be my choice to be stifled in that fashion. Then again, if you wish to keep property values up and the overall look have a nice appearence, that's certainly a plus! Thanks for pointing that out!
This is an awesome shot! And why not save the selective color version for a rainy day when you don't feel like shooting. I bet I'd fav that version too.

So many balconies all identical and the patterns they create!
