refraction is the bane of my photographic pursuits. i could never get close to even a modicum of perfection. the lighting's bad, the reflections are horrendous and whatever else that can be considered a fail.
you know, i could've cheated and changed this prompt with something else (yes, why didn't i?) like self portrait or some such. but then it wouldn't have been a random draw, would it?
for the one week only challenge; today's challenge is ref***tion.
@bintal - amazon Canada has a 80mm crystal meditation ball (which is rather big) for $36 Canadian. this one is a real small one, 15mm. i have another that's i think 30mm, both bought for under $20 Canadian. so you should gift yourself with one. thanks for stopping by.
Say what you will I think this is remarkable. I think you were more than close to a modicum of perfection with it. It's definitely much better than anything idea! I admire you for your integrity and not changing the prompt
you met the prompt with style Vikki. Cheer yourself up and see what I came up with! Enjoying these challenges despite the frustration of wanting to spend more time on them.
After failing miserably with oil and water shots, and now refraction shots I am swearing off these kinds of photos. I just can't get the set-ups right and I've never taken a shot that has satisfied me. So I'm right there with you! Although this shot is much better than the one I dug out of my archives.
