port of oakland by summerfield

port of oakland

on the pacific coast, one of the major ports of the US. i think those are containers waiting to be picked up by the trucks that had started to line up at the port's entrance for next day's operations. those cranes were like skinny dinosaurs. myths have it that the cranes around the port was george lucas' inspiration for the AT-AT walkers in the second star wars film, but it has been since proven by lucas himself that it was just that - a myth.

it was just the start of the blue hour when mike and i got there. we were right by the water when lo and behold, i saw a skunk moving around the rocks just mere yards from me. so i decided better safe than sorry, and i relocated myself far away from the rocks.

almost sooc but for the name tag.
A wonderful capture and image. Love the sparkling reflections on the water.

Beautiful night scene. The myth sounds so much better than the reality. I always knew You were a smart lady.
