nous nous souvenons by summerfield

nous nous souvenons

i dilly dallied and when i arrived in downtown to take in the armistice events, it was halfway through. so the half poppy photo.

Canada has never been at war with anyone in modern times. but during the first world war and the second world war, many Canadians enlisted in order to help fight the war. Canada's participation in the Suez Crisis, in Cyprus and on other UN peacekeeping missions, perception in Canada was that the forces had shifted from conventional warfighting to peacekeeping missions.

"In Flander's Fields," a war poem, was written by Canadian physician Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae on May 3, 1915.

we shall never forget.

also, for week 45 of the 52-week challenge. the assignment for the 'vision' segment is to show half, to tell a complete story by only showing half of it.

First born Canadians, both my Grandfather and his brother were injured in France during WWI. We owe so much to our forebears for fighting to protect our way of life.
