in reality, bilial burst would be a bad thing for you humans. and the colour wouldn't be this pretty -- it would be dark mossy green, kinda like the forest floor.
you are right, i was getting the hang of it. i set the camera into high speed continuous so that when i pressed the syringe with my right hand, i only had to press hard on the shutter and the camera took a multitude of shots and captured the action of the ink as it bursted through the water. 48 shots and only four were a complete waste. also, i got smarter filling the fish bowl with water this morning so that all the bubbles were gone when i came home.
i think this happened when i got distracted and the syringe pointed towards the side. it looks like jellyfish, doesn't it?
i thought the green was a rather funny shade but it turned out to be almost the same shade as the green anemone last week. i should've put more a bit of blue for a darker shade, but whatever. it would be interesting to find out if i can mix the right shade of indigo on saturday. you see, i only bought the 3 primary colours of the ink and just mixing them to get the secondary colours. i could get cheap sometimes, you know.
the good news is i think i'm running out of bodily terms, but who knows? i haven't googled anything in quite a while.
They all remind me of sea creatures. That is what makes it neat....no two will probably ever be alike. The colors are great for the challenge. You’ll have to write a recipe for those who want to try.
I'm enjoying picturing you there with your inks to mix, and your syringe, with the camera in one hand and coordinating the shots and the action. Encouraged to see that you might run out of bodily terms. At first, when I saw this, I thought you had been back down at the Aquarium again.
