i had been admitted to the fellowship committee of the church i attend on sundays, and today i attended my first meeting with the committee. i never thought that i'd be engaged in something like this ever. i don't like to think that i'm getting into this because it is what "old folks" do as most of the members of the church are older folks. i like to think that it is because i feel comfortable with the people that i should like to be part of their community and that is not a bad thing, is it?
okay, i admit it is part of my plan to take over the world. and when i have done that, first order of the day would be to teach people some good manners and right conduct; second to regulate people's activities on their cellphones. first law i shall declare would be cell phones or PDA's or tablets are banned in public places, like cinemas, restaurants, subway trains. and as your future leader, i welcome your suggestions, as long as you will obey me. :-D
i can dream, can't i?
ah, about the photo. the brick is the wall of the church. and this is the actual orientation that it was taken.
I like your aspirations Vikki, maybe you could practice on The Big Noise in the country immediately south of Canada? Totally agree about mobiles etc too.
and how are we to text someone to say we are late if we can't use our mobiles? or is it just we can't talk on them? Church boards are a different thing again - I was on one really young, and another a few years ago, so it's not all old people
Lovely h&h. Many people in this world could do with having some manners drummed into them. I can tolerate people using their mobile phones on public transport (as long as they're not speaking loudly or playing music so loud that I can hear it.
Good for a half and half. Especially like all the detail in the rock side. My main gripe with devices is distracted drivers. I’ve been rear ended twice by cell phone talkers when there was a whole line of stopped cars in front of me.
I like that the angle of the brick wall plays with our eyes! We were out for Mother's Day Brunch on Sunday and from my seat I could see a grandfather and grandson spending some time together. GP was texting on his cell and GS was playing a video game! Perhaps instead of banning the devices mandatory conversational time might work! haha
I shall obey - I like your thinking :)
I love the contrast of shapes and colors in this photo
